Amazon Canada: Recalculate Margins Before October 15

Amazon has confirmed that Canadian holiday peak fulfilment fees will apply from October 15, 2026, through January 14, 2027.
The increase averages approximately CAD $0.39 per unit over non-peak fulfilment rates, although the actual charge varies by product dimensions and weight.
Amazon also lists November 5 as the inventory-arrival deadline for Prime-badge readiness during Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday.

Practical seller action: Build a Q4 contribution-margin calculator
For every important SKU, calculate:

This is an illustrative calculation, not a fee quotation for a particular product.
Now compare that with the same SKU selling at a promotional price of $39.99.
At a 15% referral fee, the contribution falls to approximately $4.60, assuming the other costs remain unchanged.
That is why a seemingly successful promotion can generate sales without generating much profit.
In a nutshell:
- Create a spreadsheet containing selling price, promotional price, marketplace commission, fulfilment cost, advertising cost, returns allowance and contribution margin.
- Flag any SKU whose projected contribution falls below a minimum threshold.
